Ondine bias-cut slip dress

The Ondine is cut on the true bias from a 19-momme silk crepe, which is why it falls in a straight line from the shoulder instead of hanging from the hips. The neckline is a shallow cowl, deep enough to sit softly and shallow enough to wear to work under a cardigan. Straps adjust through a flat slider at the back so the length can be set once and left. There is no zip; the bias gives enough stretch to step into. Seams are French-finished, so the inside is as clean as the outside and nothing scratches at the shoulder blade. It is a machine wash on cold, flat dry, and it comes back to shape without pressing. Midi length measures 122 cm from the shoulder in size M.
